A Brief History of Why My Only Husband Drowned Himself in a Full Suit of Armor

It's 1887. Just before his suicide in the Charles River, George Perkins writes to his wife the famous actress, Elizabeth Robins, "I will not stand in your light any longer." In this full-length drama, we travel in time with the great American actress, suffragette and playwright, Elizabeth Robins. Through her life and times we are met with the on-going fight of Women's Civil Rights on and off the American stage.  An array of great contributors to the theatre as well as politics are among her including: Edwin Booth, Henrik Ibsen, and W.E. Dubois.
